MYTHICAL HISTORY & HISTORICAL MYTH:
BLURRED BOUNDARIES IN ANTIQUITY
Friday 28th June – Monday 1st July 2019
Conference & Cultural Center of the University of Patras, Room I 10
The complementary and overlapping spheres of Myth and History are part and parcel of the entire ancient Greek and Roman world. Yet, on many occasions it is hard to disentangle one from the other; instead, they are often projected as one, concrete unity.
The Center for the Study of Greek & Roman Myth & Religion in Greek & Roman Antiquity (website, Facebook), which is affiliated with the Department of Philology of Patras University, organizes an International Conference that aspires to delve into the intricate notions of Myth and History, in both the ancient Greek and the Roman world.
